They called to say they were on their way, showed up early,... introduce themselves with a smile and a handshake, assessed items being moved and went into team mode. I'm giving Cousins a 4 instead of a 5 this year. Mr. Eddie was the leadman with Mr. Robinson and Jean. They were an hour late meeting me at the Extra... Space Storage. Mr. Eddie explained to me that he was not aware that he was supposed to be there at 8:00 am. However, once they got going, they worked efficiently and packed everything professionally. I had to end up helping them move the light things because it was necessary. They wrapped what needed to be wrapped with blankets that Penske provided. The crew shrink wrapped all of the items that were not wrapped with a blanket. I believe for three people, they worked as fast as they could. I had to end up helping them because it was necessary in order to help minimize the time. The person who took my original order misjudged how long it would take even though I explained to him everything that I had to have loaded onto my Penske moving truck. I should have had either 4 guys like I had the last time or set it for 5 hours. I have no problem paying or 5 hours had I known it would take that long when I first placed my order. Finding out you are going to be $180 over your budget the day of is not a happy feeling. I want to add that Mr. Eddie is a true professional. He works with a perfection mentality and he was careful with handling my furniture. The guys helping him followed his instructions and there was no issues between the three of them. Would I use Cousin's again if I ever needed to...the answer is yes, but they need to do a better job of calculating the entire job's overall price based on the logistics provided to them.read more

The Unique Town of Southwest Ranches, FL

Southwest Ranches, FL is a very young city with an inspiring history. In 1996, a neighboring city petitioned the county to annex an area that included Southwest Ranches. Hundreds of citizens from the unincorporated Southwest Ranches piled into the hearing to protest the annexation. In response to the overwhelming protest, the State passed a bill that would call for the citizens to take a vote in March of 2000. They would have the choice to be annexed into a nearby city or become their own town. In March 2000, citizens voted overwhelmingly to form a new town, and thus, Southwest Ranches was officially founded.

Since forming the town nearly 16 years ago, the citizens of Southwest Ranches have taken care to ensure that they live in a unique town all their own. The town is primarily residential and the local pastime is horseback-riding. Southwest Ranches even has laws that prevent homes from being built on less than one acre of land to preserve the rural and horseback-riding lifestyles of the citizens.
