They called to say they were on their way, showed up early,... introduce themselves with a smile and a handshake, assessed items being moved and went into team mode. They wrapped and taped everything from the smallest item to my triple dresser like it was their own furniture. I'm giving Cousins a 4 instead of a 5 this year. Mr. Eddie was the leadman with Mr. Robinson and Jean. They were an hour late meeting me at the Extra... Space Storage. Mr. Eddie explained to me that he was not aware that he was supposed to be there at 8:00 am. However, once they got going, they worked efficiently and packed everything professionally. I had to end up helping them move the light things because it was necessary. They wrapped what needed to be wrapped with blankets that Penske provided. The crew shrink wrapped all of the items that were not wrapped with a blanket. I believe for three people, they worked as fast as they could. I had to end up helping them because it was necessary in order to help minimize the time. The person who took my original order misjudged how long it would take even though I explained to him everything that I had to have loaded onto my Penske moving truck. I should have had either 4 guys like I had the last time or set it for 5 hours. I have no problem paying or 5 hours had I known it would take that long when I first placed my order. Finding out you are going to be $180 over your budget the day of is not a happy feeling. I want to add that Mr. Eddie is a true professional. He works with a perfection mentality and he was careful with handling my furniture. The guys helping him followed his instructions and there was no issues between the three of them. Would I use Cousin's again if I ever needed to...the answer is yes, but they need to do a better job of calculating the entire job's overall price based on the logistics provided to them.read more

The Tamarac Community

Tamarac was built as a bedroom community in the early 1960s by a developer from the Midwest named Ken Behring. He had a vision for Tamarac as a bedroom community and built the city up, neighborhood by neighborhood. The city’s boundaries were formed by wherever Behring decided to build homes at the time. Tamarac remains that cozy, bedroom community to this day. In fact, in order to remain that way, the city de-annexed large pockets of commercial land in the late 1970s, allowing them to be annexed by Fort Lauderdale. The current citizens of this lovely town enjoy a peaceful, laid-back community with little disruption from commercial business pursuits.
